We're growing quickly and are searching for a Senior Data Engineer (Platform) to act as a creative contributor, leader, and mentor providing a best-in-class experience for our products and customers. You will use your technical knowledge and expertise to provide key insights that help us make data-driven decisions. Take ownership of building data solutions to provide actionable insights into key business metrics.
Design scalable processes that support data transformation and structures, metadata, dependency and workload management.
Bring operational excellence with a focus on performance analysis, optimization, and tuning.
Leverage your strong communication skills and experience working with global teams to be an evangelist for data engineering across the organization
Be flexible and able to rapidly adapt. We roll out products very quickly and priority management is key
Care about agility as much as you care about scalability. We roll out products very quickly and are looking for a team that can pivot at a moment’s notice.
Work with your team under fast deadlines to design, build, and deliver innovative products.
2-4 years of hands-on experience in aspects of business intelligence and data engineering, including data warehousing, delivery, and operations
A deep knowledge of a variety of AWS services like Lambda, Kinesis, S3, EC2, ECS/ECR, IAM, CloudWatch, Athena, etc
Experience provisioning Infrastructure-As-Code (IAS) with either Terraform or CloudFormation
The ability to test, build and optimize data pipelines, transformations, architectures, and data sets leveraging new technologies
Strong knowledge in a variety of data engines (for example, SQL Server, MySQL) is required. Snowflake experience is a big plus
A solid understanding of dimensional modeling is required
Excellent communications skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
Experience with data reporting tools (e.g., Tableau), data cataloging tools (e.g., Alation), and data logging/monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog) is preferred
