Job Description


We are looking for a Data Scientist to join us with the goal of building and enhancing successful new initiatives at Wish. You'll apply quantitative analysis, data visualization, experiment design, and statistical learning techniques to shape the growth strategy and improve product performance. You will enjoy working with a cooperative and passionate team, and seeing your insights turned into real impacts quickly. You will have the chance to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams and communicate with senior management on a regular basis. What you'll be doing:

  • Perform deep-dive analysis to understand and optimize the key levers of products
  • Design experiments, interpret the results, and create new features cooperating with engineers
  • Proactively conduct user researches and create segments to understand user behaviors
  • Design core metrics and develop dashboards & recurring reports to help with the growth of products
  • Monitor and summary the status of products periodically

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in an analytical field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or similar)
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in data analytics
  • 1+ years Python
  • 1+ years experience writing complex SQL queries in a business environment
  • Ability to translate business questions into analysis and experiments
  • Statistical skills utilized in A/B testing, analyzing observational data

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Analytical mindset and ability to see the big picture and influence others.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain learnings to both technical and non-technical co-workers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to land feasible action plans after analysis.
  • Good understanding of recommendation system and e-commerce platforms
