Senior data research analysts inform health care leaders’ strategic investment decisions and develop deep expertise in multiple service lines. They work on teams to analyze multiple data sources, build recommendations, create custom reports, and present their findings directly to health care executives. Senior data research analysts also research market trends, and they may create written deliverables, support primary and secondary research, conduct qualitative interviews to supplement their quantitative analyses, and support virtual and live events, depending on personal interest and business need. They play a particularly important role in moving projects forward, building expertise, and mentoring less experienced team members.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Scope client questions and project plans
  • Lead quantitative analyses to test hypotheses
  • Develop innovative frameworks to share findings
  • Create deliverables, such as custom reports, case studies, tools, and presentations
  • Build and maintain expertise in multiple service lines
  • Proactively manage custom project workflow and trouble-shoot barriers
  • Serve as an ambassador for team and research with internal and external stakeholders
  • Coach less experienced team members on basics of quantitative analyses and insight generation

This opportunity is based in Washington, DC, with the option to be remote nationally.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree from a two-year program or two years of related experience
  • Minimum 3.2 cumulative GPA
  • 4+ months of experience conducting long-term research in an academic or professional setting
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working on the clinical or business sides of health care
  • Experience working in Excel
  • Experience presenting research findings

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $66,100 to $118,300. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $72,800 to $129,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
