Your Role and Responsibilities
This is an office based position in Littleton, MA or San Jose, CA.
What You’ll Do:
Create and maintain machine learning models
Work in an Agile, collaborative environment to understand and develop solutions for requirements. You’ll be involved in designing, coding and testing innovative applications in areas such as machine learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), dialogue patterns, extraction, classification and reinforcement learning with exploration.
Collaborate with research teams to adopt the latest technologies in AI and ML.
Deploy and maintain conversational AI microservices

You are great at solving problems, debugging, troubleshooting, designing and implementing solutions to complex technical issues.
You thrive on collaboration, working side by side with developers and scientists of all backgrounds and disciplines, and you have very strong verbal and written communication skills.
You have awareness of knowledge representation and reasoning.

Location & Travel: Once IBMers are no longer working from home due to COVID-19 this will be an office based position in Littleton, MA or San Jose, CA. Periodic travel may be required for team meetings or industry conferences.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience with either Python, Java or C++
Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, or similar machine learning frameworks
At least 1 year of industry experience
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Ability to develop and debug nondeterministic, adaptive systems
Experience with developing dialogue interpreters for conversational patterns
Applied knowledge in Data Mining / Automated Knowledge Acquisition, Representation and Reasoning
Knowledge of pretrained language models
Experience with chatbot platforms, such as Google Dialogflow, Amazon Lex, Rasa, Microsoft Azure Bot Service, or IBM Watson Assistant
