Duties


This position starts at a salary of $57,118.00 (GS-9, Step 1) to $89,835.00 (GS-11, Step 10) with promotion potential to $128,043 (GS-13 Step 10). Salary: Salary listed reflects the rest of U.S. scale and, if applicable, will be adjusted to meet the locality pay or cost of living expenses of the duty location upon selection. Typical duties include: Applying advanced concepts of data science techniques including data extraction, transformation, cleaning, modeling, machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) to process and extract insights from structured and unstructured data. Applying quantitative, computer science, mathematical, and statistical skills to interpret data sets, the results of which will be used for forecasting critical problems and making data-driven decisions regarding the administrative and programmatic aspects of HRM and CBP's operations and management. Gathering processing, and converting raw and unstructured data into clean, organized information. Assisting in evaluating procedures for data storage and retrieval along with systems for data classification and coding. Performing quantitative and qualitative analysis and data quality assurance using statistical software and computer programs (e.g., R, Python).
