Your tasks

Your tasks:
  • Co-operate with internal business units to find use cases that potentially can be supported by data analytics and machine learning solutions.
  • Identify, gather and process required data sets. Perform data analysis, communicate insights to our stakeholders and create prototypes to solve business problems.
  • Design and deploy scalable advanced analytics components in co-operation with software engineering team and internal IT departments.
  • Define key performance indicators and evaluation techniques to measure the impact of our products.


Your profile:
  • Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering or Finance, PhD in a quantitative field
  • Several years of industrial experience in data analytics or machine learning projects and hands-on experience with SQL, Python and relevant data science libraries such as Scikit-Learn, Keras, TensorFlow
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into quantitative analytics problems, proficiency in Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark or Kafka
  • Passion to learn new technologies and analytical methodologies, hands-on experience with Computer Vision, Deep- and Reinforcement Learning techniques
  • Experience with cloud-based frameworks for data analytics (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure), software development and deployment technologies (e.g. Docker, git, CI/CD, Kubernetes)
  • Know-how in Unix/Linux-based systems, experience in logistics industry
  • Fluency in German, clear and succinct verbal and written communication skills in English

We are looking for a talented Data Scientist who can contribute to our projects with solid data intuition, hands-on problem-solving skills, engineering mindset and eagerness to learn how our logistics business works.
