Scout24 is operating internal and external Machine Learning based solutions, with a central Artificial Intelligence team that is responsible for the lifecycle of most of the proprietary solutions and a few product teams that recently started building or acquiring their own solution.

We are looking for a Lead Data Scientist to help us scale our Machine Learning capabilities and who is informing the technical direction of the Artificial Intelligence strategy of Scout24.

What we need from you

• Be hands-on on Machine Learning solutions of medium to high algorithmic complexity that have a global impact for Scout24
• Lead our internal AI Tech Domain in establishing a highly productive ML adoption at Scout24
• Provide guidance around the choice of modelling techniques, tools and frameworks to our Machine Learning practitioners
• Define, improve, and ensure compliance with standard processes around data preparation and evaluation of candidate models in QA as well as production models across all Machine Learning based solutions
• Inform definition and implementation of company strategies that rely on Artificial Intelligence
• Represent Scout24’s Artificial Intelligence endeavors in the internal and external communities
  

What you need to bring

• MS or PhD degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science or related field
• Experience in designing and implementing Machine Learning solutions of at least 10 years in academia and/or industry (at least 5 years in industry)
• Experience in hands-on Machine Learning automation with Python and AWS
• Leadership experience as functional or disciplinary lead of at least 3 years
• Passion to support others within and outside of your own function
• Experience in collaborating with stakeholders at all levels to inform the definition of technical strategies
