Data Engineer

ComResource is seeking an experienced Data Engineer. You will architect, build, and optimize large-scale data pipelines and analytics platforms that turn data into actionable insights.

Responsibilities:

• Design scalable and reliable data lake architecture, ETL processes, and data modeling solutions
• Develop and maintain optimized data pipelines, SQL queries, and data processing systems on Google Cloud Platform
• Leverage technologies like BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage to ensure smooth data flow from source to output
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and deliver data-driven solutions that enable smarter decisions
• Monitor data pipeline health, troubleshoot issues, and ensure integrity through rigorous testing and quality standards
• Stay up-to-date on the latest GCP services and data engineering best practices to improve developer productivity
• Coach and mentor junior data engineers in designs, technologies, and techniques

Requirements:

• 5+ years of Data engineering experience with expertise in GCP services
• Ability to design complex data models supporting petabyte-scale data volumes
• Excellence writing, tuning, and optimizing large-scale BigQuery SQL queries
• Proficiency with Python, Java, Scala or related programming languages
• Experience building enterprise-grade ETL and data integration processes
• Deep understanding of data structures, pipeline orchestration, logging, monitoring, and alerting
• Track record of delivering high-quality data solutions on time
• Strong analytical abilities and technical leadership skills
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering or a quantitative field
