Position Overview

This role reports to the Sr. Director of Strategic Finance and provides key support to data-driven decision-making at the executive level. In this role, you will utilize your analytical, statistical, and programming skills to collect, analyze, and interpret large data sets, aggregated from multiple internal and external sources. This role also requires maintenance, creation, and analysis of schemas and tables within the company-wide data repository. This role supports multiple cross-functional stakeholders and provide analysis in support of internal quarterly and fiscal year forecasting, investor relations, pricing optimization, internal transfer analysis, operational benchmarking, profitability analysis, divisional P&L maintenance, and any ad hoc requests that may arise.

Position Responsibilities

  • Standardize current data sets such that company management can monitor key initiatives and measure financial, sales, and operational metrics
  • Model pricing methods, volume inputs/outputs, forecasts, and macro market trends such that a holistic view of the ecosystem can be documented and quantified
  • Produce, maintain, and adapt dashboards that collect, illustrate, and contrast key financial/sales metrics over key time intervals
  • Recommend additional reports, key initiatives, performance metrics, and special projects based on patterns, experience, and a holistic view of the organization
  • Develop models and analytics tools to manage re-sale waterfall from high-value revenue channels down through low-revenue channels
  • Create predictive analysis capabilities/tools that anticipate changes in secondary market for enterprise hardware and make recommendations for company's remarketing efforts based on inventory and market expectations
  • Tackle hard-to-answer questions from senior leadership specifically concerning predictive modeling and the pricing impacts of global economic fluctuations
  • Configure new/existing data into ERP system and business intelligence tools based on multi-department requirements
  • Establish ER diagrams and internal documentation for data warehousing, manage and maintain schemas and tables as part of ERP system backend data management
  • Lead cross-functional training with stakeholders to foster culture of self-serve data consumption among internal clients
  • Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions


Requirements/Skills

  • BS degree from four-year institution in a quantitative field and Master’s or PHD in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or another quantitative field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with utilizing business intelligence / analytics / data visualization tools including Tableau, Power BI, and Microsoft NAV
  • Experience implementing / consulting on ERP data configuration and warehousing; previous experience implementing Microsoft Dynamics NAV preferred
  • Experience (2+ years) using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SLQ, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
  • Ability to absorb solution requests from various departments, conceptualize solutions, and execute easy-to-understand visualizations
  • Must be able to discuss and document deliverables effectively and efficiently
  • Ability to adapt prioritizations based on an evolving landscape and management commitments
  • Strong work ethic and ability to independently solve problems
  • Highly organized, a proven planner, and ability to think critically
  • Ability to thrive in cross-functional environments
  • Experience in an entrepreneurial environment is a plus
