Role Purpose
- A clear understanding of Business KPIs and providing solutions to derive business values
- Analyze business requirements, design, development and extract relevant data and provide insights as per business requirements in Vodafone to support data-driven decision-making.
- Identify bottlenecks and perform performance improvements in data pipelines in the Teradata database system
- Undertake ad-hoc data analysis and reporting using SQL
- Knowledge of GCP would be an added advantage.
- Create New jobs / Modification of existing jobs/Automation and performance improvement of redundant scripts – SQL scripts
- Meet with relevant stakeholders regularly to track progress and highlight impediments
- Report and query outputs, using SQL and BI tools
- Data validation by applying business rules and providing insights to the business.
- Delivery within agreed timelines and maintaining quality
- Record and analyze requirements from a solution design point of view.
- Translation of Business Requirements into a solution design as the basis for the further development process.
- Identify sources of data and analytics to match with requirements
- Alignment of solution design decisions with lead information architect and with IT.
- Perform data analysis and fine-tune the transformation rules for further development using Teradata tools and utilities
- Ensure standards are followed in the design and implementation of the solution
- The telecom business information framework was developed with all the facts and dimensions explaining relationship and business rules
- Deliver business insights in the form of interface, report/dashboard, business processes, and application-matching visualization standards
- Deliver requests as per the specification on time, with high accuracy, and match business expectations
- Impart domain knowledge within the team and build a team for future challenges in terms of adopting new technology
- Develop a strong partner relationship through proactive communication, interactions, engagement, and value addition
- Lead, Facilitate, and participate in interaction with stakeholders
- Candidate with 3+ experience in the data warehousing area with exposure to large data warehousing projects.
- Experience in data architecture, data management, and designing BI solutions, proposing multiple options for best solutions
- Exceptional data manipulation and analysis techniques; comfortable using very large (>10’s million rows) datasets, containing both structured and unstructured data
- Hands-on Experience in RDBMS - Teradata tools and utilities ( Bteq, MultiLoad, Fload, TPT )
- Hands-on with a source to target transformation design and implementation reviews
- Data Architecture - Ability to understand and implement logical and physical data models (normalized as well as de-normalized model), with Many-to-Many Relationships, role attributes, and Hierarchies in BI Tool
- Hands-on with a source to target transformation design and implementation reviews
- Good communication skills
- Flexibility and problem-solving
- Previous experience in GCP and Telecom would be a distinct advantage
- Database development experience using - Teradata tools and utilities (Bteq, MultiLoad, Fload, TPT )
- Working experience in PL/SQL scripting.
- Hands-on development experience using Python on Spark.
- Exposure to components on any cloud platform.
