About the Job/Role

Reporting to the Inclusion & Diversity Manager, the Talent (HR) Data Analyst will provide critical support in data/people analytics and the coordination of global inclusion & diversity programs/initiatives. As a member of the Talent team, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to compile, build, and optimize all talent related data. The successful candidate will collaborate across the Talent team to understand reporting needs and make recommendations on how best to organize and translate data into consumable insights.

This role will also support ongoing initiatives around the Belonging @ WildBrain strategy to measure and evaluate our needs, progress, and success towards a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment. In addition to leveraging their strong spreadsheet, programming and systems knowledge, the Talent Data Analyst is a problem solver who is excited by pushing the limits of what is known to be possible.

  • Evaluate current data practices and systems to recommend a structure for talent reporting and analysis at WildBrain
  • Support data management and analytics from HRIS (UKG – formerly UltiPro) and ATS (iCIMS) to collect, analyze and translate HR data and metrics into consumable reports and insights regarding all talent programs (ie. inclusion & diversity, recruitment, engagement, succession etc.)
  • Leverage the talent strategy to develop key insights and robust analysis to strengthen talent management practices and support objectives
  • Work collaboratively across the talent team to understand and action reporting needs and contribute to the identification of key performance indicators
  • As subject matter expert, stay current on best practices, and strive to continuously improve HR reporting practices
  • Conduct research on evidence-based best practices for inclusion & diversity projects/programs
  • Assist with scheduling, managing logistics, coordinating events, and other technical duties related to inclusion & diversity programs
  • Post-secondary course work in business, data, mathematics, human resources or related field
  • Understanding of data analysis processes including collection, cleaning, analyzing and interpreting
  • Progressive experience producing robust reports, key insights, dashboards, and data visualization on UKG BI Reporting tool or similar
  • High proficiency in MS Office Suite (ie. Excel – VBA Macros, VLOOKUPS, Pivot Tables, Formulas, PowerPoint), and programming languages (ie. SQL)
  • Exceptional relationship management skills with a knack for truly listening, interpreting information and working collaboratively to achieve business results
  • Solid understanding of talent business needs and employee life cycle to provide relevant people insights
  • Quality focused, with strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Previous experience implementing data related processes or initiatives
  • Previous experience working with sensitive information and holds a high regard for confidentiality
