This role will provide key support for the Governance and Reporting team in providing data analysis and business insight. The Data Scientist will provide data analysis support to help capture and report on business data for all transformation initiatives. They will also provide support in interpreting key trends and providing the GTO with data insights.

How will I help?

This role will provide key support for the Governance and Reporting team in providing data analysis and business insight. The Data Scientist will provide data analysis support to help capture and report on business data for all transformation initiatives. They will also provide support in interpreting key trends and providing the GTO with data insights.

Collaborate with the GTO team to understand information needs and assess current data analysis and reporting capabilities to understand future business requirements

Your acco untabilities will include:

  • Support development of data cleansing and mining activities which may be required from multiple data lakes and may be at varying levels of maturity
  • Work with all relevant source data systems to understand business practices and help to map source data into a standardised data warehousing structure to meet project requirements and audit activity
  • Works with and maintains appropriate data metrics tools including the running and maintenance of reporting hub and assistance in tracking reporting data against key controls and data quality metrics
  • Management of GTO tableau dashboards including updating based on project data
  • Management of key learnings hub including collecting relevant data sources to establish key learnings and insights with the view of feeding these insights into different requirements across the GTO (e.g. portfolio reporting, self service tools, divisional reporting)
  • Support processes to ensure instructional documents and user documents are updated to reflect new system or reporting modifications
  • Support provision of data insights to senior business leaders with recommendations on market, business performance and operational activities to inform decision-making
  • Provide support in the interpretation of trends, problem areas and opportunities
  • Conduct complex data analysis to support generation of insights, models and reports to support advising the bank.

What do I need?

  • 2-3 years experience in a similar data & analytics role
  • Degree Qualification in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or similar
  • Ability to lead, coach and motivate staff in a high pressure, yet exciting work environment, able to lead multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong cross functional and stakeholder management skills. Builds and sustain relationships with a network of key people internally and externally. Anticipates and is responsive to transformation needs
  • Advanced knowledge and skills in data systems including PowerBi and Visio
  • Working knowledge of IRI, Quantium, Visual Insights and Tableau
  • Knowledge of SQL and Python based tools for data analytics
  • Demonstrated experience delivering insights with commercial outcomes
