An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Junior Data Analyst to join our finance team. We are looking for a candidate with excellent numerical and data analytical skills. At our Finance Department in Gold Care Homes, we focus on providing relevant and qualitative financial information and reports to help strategically drive the business forward and ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. We provide 24/7 care for more than 1500 residents and have more than 1600 wonderful staff looking after our residents, the business and finance data is not only voluminous but also very complex.

With the ever-changing dynamics in healthcare organisation, analysing data and producing effective decision-making reports is very critical. As a fast-growing company this is an evolving role and has potential to be a key member of the organisation's finance team.

A Day in the Life
  • Researches and interprets data intensive reports for executive team summarising KPIs and key business issues
  • Support the Associate Director of Finance in achieving weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting deadlines
  • Responds to highly dynamic business needs by analysing complex business data and producing action driven reports
  • Perform data analysis to investigate, diagnose and apply corrective action on any underlying people and process issues
  • Creates standard operating procedures, responds to merger and acquisition activities, and monitors monthly journal entry and accurate schedules.
  • May work with system programmers to achieve solutions on various reports and business needs
  • Review all various finance control procedures and processes to ensure high level o authenticity of the information being processed.
  • Develop automated accounting applications to improve productivity
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Analyze financial performance and develop forecast models
  • Extensive data analysis and producing payroll reports for various stakeholders within the business
  • Guides cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends and forecasts; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions.
  • Co-ordinate with various management levels to improve the data integrity of finance systems and improve data quality
  • Identifies financial performance for each operational region by comparing and analysing actual results with plans and forecasts.
  • Excellent time management, administration skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work on own initiative and perform well under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Work as part of a team, rotating responsibilities to ensure flexibility is maintained within the function.
  • Active role in Finance related Projects –Finance systems (Microsoft Business Central, PowerBI for MI Reporting and Dashboards, Procurement data analysis)
Must Haves Skills And Qualifications
  • Business degree / professional qualification in numerical related subject
  • Understanding of Care Home organisation is advantageous
  • Previous experience as an analyst / data analyst is beneficial
  • Excellent numerical and data analytical skills
  • Advanced and experience Excel user and quick learner on new systems
  • You are a dynamic team player and can work effectively and proactively partnering with HR and Finance
  • You are experienced in working with multiple matrix (operational, Business, HR & Finance) with excellent people and communication skills.
  • You are a good communicator and fluent in English, both in writing and speaking.
  • You have an excellent ability to deal with and protect the confidential nature of information you are in contact with and are a self-starter, and organized individual who can work under pressure and keep to deadlines.
