This is a full-time fully remote position for Latin-American-based applicants within +/- 2 hours of Eastern Standard Timezones(NYC).

Data Analyst

Blue Orange is looking for an experienced Data Analyst to join our talented multi-disciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data and quality. This role will initially be part of a team implementing an enterprise Data Lake and Data Warehouse with a reporting layer in Power BI. The ideal candidate will be well versed in SQL and modern data technologies, understand how to assess data quality, and have great communications skills. This candidate will work on analyzing and extracting information from source data, help interpret and visualize data, and define data quality needs and help make sure they are met.

Responsibilities

• Work with the team and stakeholders to define requirements for the Data Warehouse and reports.
• Work with source data systems to extract and analyze data to assist in defining the requirements for the data platform.
• Work with the Data Governance team members to define data quality standards and requirements
• Work with the data team to implement the data quality standards and ensure ongoing quality assurance of that data process.
• Support analytical and statistical reporting requirements and work with the data team to visualize the data in dashboards and reports in Power BI.
• Work within an Agile environment to constantly deliver value for our clients.

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with data analysis, including data cleansing, and data visualization
• Advanced experience with SQL
• Experience with using data analytic tools, including Python
• Experience with using data visualization tools, including PowerBI
• Familiarity with dimensional modeling
• BA or BS degree

Preferred Qualifications

• A technical degree, like Computer Science or Statistics.
• Experience with Azure and their data tools, including Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Azure Synapse.
• Experience with Machine Learning
