Your team

Pictet Asset Services (PAS) provides custody, fund services and trading solutions for external asset managers, fund managers and institutional clients. We manage every aspect of the asset servicing value chain and our range of bespoke solutions includes value-adding analytics, trading-strategy support and digital front-end interfaces designed to provide an unrivalled customer experience.

You will join the PAS Risk & Compliance teams working on risk, regulatory and strategic cross-disciplinary projects to assist with data and analytics to help PAS governance and decision-making at Group level.

Your role

  • Identifying and documenting R&C data analytics, data needs and data-supporting R&C use cases (BI, Advanced Analytic and ML) regarding PAS clients or projects.
  • Implementing use cases from end to end, including risk scenarios to support the Internal Control System/Risk Framework.
  • Creating and improving BI risk and business dashboards.
  • Contributing to data quality improvement, identifying inconsistencies by using advanced analytics algorithms.
  • Working closely with PAS data, Group data R&C and Technology & Operations to achieve industrialisation and contribute to defining good practices.
  • Evaluating data sources with high value add.
  • Analysing large unstructured and structured datasets.
  • Identifying useful patterns and signals from alternative data sources to enhance the R&C framework.
  • Working closely with our data teams and our DevOps engineers for the deployment of our data and tools.
  • Performing exploratory analysis with visualisations, features extraction and selection, statistical modelling and machine learning as well as refinement and enhancement of existing data needs.
  • Helping to identify the right analytical use cases in tandem with the Head of PAS R&C teams and assessing the value, feasibility and set-up to be used.
  • Creating and implementing data mining/predictive analytics solutions to support business and risk team stakeholders in monitoring their day-to-day business.
  • Supporting or leading the development of risk dashboards to help with the monitoring of risk trends or risk scenarios.

Your profile

  • Proficient user of standard office IT applications (PowerPoint and Excel) as well as BI tools (e.g. Tableau, Alteryx or equivalent).
  • Expert in Python and SQL programming languages.
  • Master’s degree in Data Science.
  • At least one year’s experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent command of French and English.
  • Ability to grasp new tools quickly.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to be short-term and mid-term solution-oriented.
  • Entrepreneurial and can-do spirit, able to work independently without supervision and with problem-solving skills.
  • Team spirit.
  • Good presentation skills and ability to communicate both to business and technical audiences
  • The candidate will be required to reside in Switzerland.
