Function
You know how to choose a path that leads to desired solutions: As a Data Analyst you’ll need to ensure that the request matches the needs and assess whether the data sets are fit for purpose. You will translate requests for data from either modelling team, regulator or monitoring and back-testing team directly into code or adequately instruct developers on how to do so. Creating extensive SQL scripts, targeting large volumes of historical data in a complex landscape with a wide range of sources, sometimes decommissioned or poorly documented. Your experience enables you to find your path in such environment, independently and professionally. You’ll develop the principles for creating data sets that meet the latest internal and regulatory requirements for data quality. If you have enough experience, you will also play the role of advisor and leader. As a Senior you’ll need to have the skills and personality to get the most out of your team and guide them towards the goals you have agreed to achieve.

In addition, it's important that you recognize everything in the checklist below:
  • A Master degree in Economics, Finance, or quantitative field (mathematics, physics or similar)
  • Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written
  • A background in banking/finance industry
  • An understanding of credit risk modelling
  • At least 2 years’ experience in writing database queries and merging, cleaning and processing data
  • A thorough mastery of SQL, experience with Python is welcome too
  • The ability to present solutions and provide clear documentation of all steps, so that data sets are not only useable, but sustainable
  • For senior level: Proficiency in leading small teams to achieve agreed objectives together.

Bancaire en SQL knowledge is an must have.

  • You have to be available throughout the entire duration of the assignment;

  • You must be in possession of a valid Passport or ID card, which must be taken along to the interview and at the start of the assignment;
