What You Will Be Doing
Under the general direction of the EDI operations manager, responsible for functioning as a customer liaison and service line support for integrated automated solutions. The
Lead Healthcare Data Analyst will focus on Payer/Plan mapping from vendor's trusted data sources, assessment of insurance eligibility transactions from Payers to improve automation, working across product and IT teams to trouble shoot and identify opportunities to optimize automation.
- Provide exceptional customer service to customers using integrated electronic benefit verification solution providing basic troubleshooting and implementation questions support
- Manage inbound customer inquiries for supported service line to include validating understanding of customer need/issue, determine appropriate course of action for resolution, initiating resolution, logging call and scheduling follow up if resolution is pending
- Interface with product management, IT, and third-party vendors to initiate issue resolution for customer reported issues and track status until resolved providing customer updates
- Monitor and troubleshoot daily automation processes within the production environment to proactively identify, prioritize, communicate, and initiate resolution of any process or system issues
- Troubleshoot and provide analysis, support, and guidance on moderate to complex EDI issues related to Eligibility (270/271) and other supported transactions using both business and data analysis skills
- Complete detailed research of complex workflows and data integrations
- Provide subject matter expertise and operational support to internal business partners regarding transactional activity and supporting research as needed regarding specific transaction
- Evaluate data within transactions to identify opportunities to enhance information within solution set
- Assist with testing and validation process for system updates and coordinate communication to impacted external customers
- Leverage technical expertise and business knowledge to offer clear and accurate interpretation of industry driven changes to stakeholders
- Develop and maintain both internal and client-facing documentation in collaboration with product management capability owner
- Provide on call support for business critical and escalated client issues
- Assist with training and mentoring new hires
- Performs all other related duties as assigned
What Your Background Should Look Like
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, High school diploma or equivalent required
- Knowledge of HIPAA, EDI and Healthcare X12 transactions preferred
- At least one (1) or more year experience interacting with 270/271 transaction and/or other insurance clearinghouse transaction sets
- At least two (2) or more years industry experience in healthcare, life sciences and/or patient services required
- Prior experience working as a lead highly desired
- Customer service experience required
- Working knowledge of writing and reading SQL queries is preferred
- Strong level of proficiency with Excel needed
- Must be able to work rapidly and accurately under pressure to work in an effective manner and to handle different issues and priorities simultaneously.

- Experience manipulating, analyzing, and researching large amounts of data
- Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical personnel
- Superior troubleshooting, analysis and problem-solving capabilities
