Right now, we have a permanent full-time opportunity available to join us as a Senior Data Analyst in the Reporting, Analytics and Insights team based within Sydney Trains. This role will see you support the Production team in building automated and manual reports using descriptive statistics, extracting and transforming data and maintaining data platforms to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
The Senior Data Analyst will demonstrate the ability to work independently and support other team members to ensure deliverables are met.
The Reporting, Analytics and Insights team is responsible for ensuring that Sydney Trains has timely access to trusted information to better inform data driven actions and decision making.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
Tertiary qualification/s in a related field
Strong background in data and analytics, ideally with experienceu using statistical computer languages
Knowledge and experience in statistical and data mining techniques such as GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, text mining, social network analysis
Expe rience creating and using machine learning algorithms and statistics
Experience in providing advice and support to a broader team.
Salary and benefits
The salary for this position is RC Grade 6 ($127,559 - $141,442) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
