Global Energy Management (GEM) is the platform responsible for the integrated global management of energy in the EDP Group. EDP GEM Portugal is the company that is part of this global platform, in Portugal. We intend to recruit a Data Engineer for the Advance Analytics Department.
Main responsibilities:
- Develop, manage and support the computer systems that support the forecasting models and the provision of data;
- Review, ensure and develop the operation of the support tools for activity control and decision-making;
- Propose, support and monitor the quality of the relationship maintained with service providers, internal and external, necessary for the performance of the activity;
- Promote the understanding and use of the tools developed in the area;
- Be up to date with the latest technological trends (with a focus on those in the field of analytics).
Looking for people with the following requirements:
- Bachelor or Masters in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related;
- Maximum of 3 years of professional experience in similar functions;
- Experience in:
- Programming (e.g., Python, R, Java, Node, SQL);
- Cloud Platforms, Azure is mandatory (namely Azure Databricks and Azure ML).
- We value experience in:
- Azure Web App, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse e/ou Kafka;
- Knowledge in prediction models.
- Good level of English;
- Good time management skills/prioritizing tasks;
- Dynamism and autonomy.
