Data Engineer (12 month FTC)

We are currently recruiting for an Data Engineer to join our established and experienced team here at RSA.

This role is hybrid with 1-2 visits to the London or Chelmsford officer per week.

The Role

This role is based in London as part of the RSA-Luxembourg head office. You will spend your time building, collecting, analysing, interpreting and reporting on information, predominantly but not exclusively of an Underwriting and financial nature.

You will build and maintain data systems. You will add value through your ability to understand what the information means, what effect this is likely to have on the business and to communicate this effectively to different audiences.

What You'll Be Doing

As part of your role, you will be implementing methods to improve data reliability and quality, analysing raw data, developing and maintaining datasets. This will all be part of playing key role in development of Annual Operating Plan analytic automation. Analysing financial and business data and information using a variety of proven statistical and other analytical techniques to identify trends, anomalies, gaps and opportunities will play a big part in your day to day responsibilities.

What We're Looking For

A working knowledge of languages Python, R, Qlik, Tableau, QGIS and Power BI are needed along with Robotics, ML and A.I. It would be great if you have an understanding of financial services and in particular insurance.
