An exciting opportunity has arisen at the RFL, the national governing body for Rugby League in the UK. We are seeking to appoint a Data Analyst based in Manchester. These roles are for a 6 month Kickstart placement, and will be for 25 hours per week. You will join a small team, acting as analytical support through both regular reporting and responding to ad-hoc requests. You will manage the sport’s central data warehouse, reporting on quantitative data to provide actionable insight. You will contribute to the production and management of specific regular data reports including those required by the Rugby Football League Board and Sport England.PRINCIPAL DUTIES / ACTIVITIES:
Collect and appropriately record relevant data.
Monitor, evaluate and improve data held within the data warehouse.
Contribute to data integrity, quality, security inc. storage and accuracy and ensuring all data complies with legal regulations.
Contribute to ensuring appropriate data capture activity and growth in the number of contactable customer records for the sport.
Look for ways to improve effectiveness of data manipulation and the use of data across the organization and the sport.
Manage customer contacts in Sugar CRM to create audiences for targeted marketing and identify hot prospect ticket sales.
Establish an effective working relationship with all teams who use data, determine their data needs and develop appropriate service provision to meet those needs. This will include the generation of regular reports, dealing with ad-hoc requests and regular presentation of data.
Support colleagues across the organisation and in Clubs. Providing advice and guidance around how to collect, input, extract and analyse data.
Work with highly complex data sets for analysis and handle queries in relation to commercially sensitive information.
Produce and maintain structured reporting vital to the sports funding to a set timetable for RFL Board and Sport England.
Produce and develop regular and ad-hoc data reports that provide accurate & actionable insight for management decisions.
Review and analyse data to effectively communicate insight generated to key stakeholders & to key teams. Produce meaningful client reporting.
Present analytical findings and insight to Senior audiences within the organisation and across the sport including input to strategic decisions.
Manage external data and analytics partners.
