The Data Platforms group at Hi-Rez Studios is responsible for the development and operation of data storage, collection, analytics, and machine learning systems that affect all Hi-Rez teams.

What our Data Engineers do:
Build and integrate internal and external facing data infrastructure systems and pipelines
Proactively monitor systems for resource use and capacity planning
Explore ways to enhance data quality and reliability
Develop and maintain data warehouse and data lake environments
Collaborate with DevOps, Business Intelligence, DBAs, Data Analytics, and Machine Learning teams on projects
Prepare data for prescriptive and predictive modeling in production environments
Participate in developing analytical tools and programs in production environments
Who we are looking for:
5+ years of relevant professional software experience in a data engineering environment
Professional programming experience in a language like Python, Java, or Scala
Experience with Web APIs and JSON data formats
SQL scripting and relational databases
Proven skills in data modeling, transformation, and storage methods
Experience with Cloud data infrastructure tools (i.e. Azure: Data Lake, Data Factory, Synapse Pipeline, Spark, and Event Hubs; AWS: Redshift, Data pipeline/Glue, and EMR)
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to problem solve and prioritize competing priorities
Preferred candidate has:
Experience with data processing, pipeline, or task orchestration tools (i.e. Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, and Apache Airflow
