Merantix Labs is an external Machine Learning department that provides tailored AI solutions to several industries. We proudly belong to the Merantix family of companies acting as the main partner for customer-centric project solutions. YOUR ROLE

This position has been designed for somebody who is passionate about structuring and organizing data. YOU will be on daily interaction with backend and ML Engineers in order to identify best practices and create open communication channels. If the prospect of dealing with problems in different fields excites you and you want to play an instrumental role in helping us to build and scale efficient and reliable data pipelines, you are just in the right place!

These will be your main responsibilities:

• Work on projects that require building and scaling robust and efficient ETL pipeline architectures
• Interact with clients to understand their needs and estimate technical feasibility
• Work closely with our Data Scientists and Machine Learning engineers in order to provide actionable, data-driven insights for our clients

YOUR PROFILE

The ideal candidate loves to scale and develop ETL pipeline architectures, has a solid understanding of trade-offs between different database and storage choices (SQL & NoSQL), and brings excellent communication skills in order to interact with backend and ML Engineers effectively. We are looking for driven, capable, and prudent talents with proven track records of personal, academic, and professional achievement. Our hierarchy is flat and communication direct, which means that we operate and learn fast, as a team.

YOU are a great fit for our team if this describes you:

• BSc/MSc in computer science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Demonstrated programming experience for feature extraction and engineering in Python and Pandas
• Experience with web services, backend architectures, and Docker
• You know and care about sound engineering practices like version control, clean code, code review, testing, continuous delivery/improvement, and automation.
• Proven experience in independently completing complex technical projects
• Keen interest in developing products and uncovering the potential of technical solutions for a range of real-world applications
• Confidence and ability to interact with clients, to understand their problems, and to design as well as to explain complex technical solutions
• Excellent oral & written communication skills in English

Preferred qualifications:

• Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS, MS Azure)
• Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools (e.g. Apache Beam)
• Experience with Kubernetes, high-quality code reviews, and large codebase
