Our Client in the FMCG industry is looking for Senior Data Scientist come onboard their APAC Advanced Analytics team, where you will be responsible for developing advanced analytics and machine learning models across Business functions including customer & commercial, franchise & operations, strategy, and ecommerce.

Objective of this role
- Partner with Product & Operating Unit (OU) business teams across the organization to identify the need for advanced analytics use cases.
- Translate challenging business problems into impactful predictive and prescriptive data products and solutions.
- Network with Product, Engineering and Data Ops team to design, build and productionize the advanced analytical products.
- Research and devise innovative statistical models for data analysis.
- Build self-service tool kit to communicate insights/findings to all stakeholders.
- Maintain expertise and awareness of emerging modelling techniques, technologies, and potential business applications for ML/AI
- Serve as a lead data scientist to identify and integrate new datasets that can be leveraged through our product capabilities and work closely with the data engineering team to ingest the data into an analytical workspace for experiment.
- Execute analytical experiments to help solve business problems across various Operating Unit (OU) functions.
- Depending on the business need, apply a variety of advanced analytical techniques, including econometric modelling, machine learning, time series analysis, forecasting, simulation, and optimization.
- Devise and utilize algorithms and statistical models to mine big-data lake; perform data and error analysis to improve models; clean and validate data for uniformity and accuracy.
- Implement analytical models in production by collaborating with data engineers.
- Build and maintain a robust library of solutions, reusable templates, algorithms and supporting code.
- Master’s Degree in applied Statistics, applied Math, Data Science, or related quantitative discipline.
- 5 to 8 years of experience in data science field
- Proficiency with data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis
- Advanced experience in pattern recognition and predictive modeling
- Experience with Azure Stack, programming languages mainly Python and visualization using PowerBI.
- Preferred experience in FMCG industry
- Experience with version control platforms like GitHub, GitLab or Azure DevOps is considered a plus.
