Data Engineer

Introduction:

We are currently working with a leading company in the mobility industry, seeking a talented and experienced Data Engineer Consultant to join their dynamic team. As a Data Engineer Consultant, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by shaping the data infrastructure and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of their data systems.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with a dedicated team of professionals, taking ownership and demonstrating self-drive.
• Develop and maintain backend engineering and data solutions, utilizing your expertise in SQL and Python.
• Contribute to the implementation of advanced data management practices and promote data ownership within the organization.
• Address complex challenges, including compliance with data protection regulations and secure data access.
• Contribute to scaling up the infrastructure and optimize data processes for enhanced performance.
• Provide support for Business Controller-related tasks, ensuring streamlined data operations.
• Leverage your experience with microservice architecture to design and build robust data solutions.
• Utilize Docker for containerization, enabling efficient deployment and scalability.
• Utilize Airflow to streamline workflow management.

Skills to Succeed:

• Minimum of five years of professional work experience in backend engineering and data.
• Preferable backend experience in Golang.
• Proven track record and ability to work independently with SQL and Python.
• Experience in developing on public cloud platforms, such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong familiarity with Snowflake and Data Build Tool (dbt).
• In-depth knowledge of microservice architecture and its implementation.
• Proficiency in building containerized services using tools like Docker (essential).
• Experience with Airflow for workflow management (essential).
