As a data-driven company, ParkBee uses many kinds of data from a wide variety of different sources. You will be a member of the data team, liaising with data scientists, BI developers, and data analysts, to help them gather the best data available. You will do this by constructing robust data pipelines and delivering processed data from various types of databases, backends, APIs, platforms, and so on. On top of that, you will take responsibility to plan, expand, and maintain our general data infrastructure by working with (and being supported by) our backend Dev and DevOps teams. You will have an appropriate budget, and the mandate to make your own decisions - including using third party tools where appropriate, without needing to reinvent the wheel. Your challenge is to shape our new team and structure and direct them towards your common goals. Sounds good? Keep reading!
Who You Are
You’ll need to be comfortable with all kinds of data structures and data flows, and the technologies on which they can be transmitted, stored, and used. You are enthusiastic about experimenting and trying out all kinds of tools and technologies. You are driven to understand the best and cleanest way to solve a problem, whether it is the brand new implementation of a shiny tool or platform, or the tried-and-tested stable choice. While this is not a DevOps position, knowledge of cloud technologies and deployment of solutions would certainly be appreciated. For example, you might help the Data Team effectively deploy Machine Learning solutions on our existing cloud infrastructure.
Lastly, being at the heart of many interconnected systems, you must be able to work independently and coordinate efficiently with all of your tech colleagues. You are a great communicator. At the end of the day, you’ll enjoy seeing the real results of all your hard work when your data streams are being used in real analysis, and live customer-facing projects.
We are likely to be a match if you
