We offer careers with breadth, depth of scope and impact and are now recruiting an Innovation Data Scientist to join our innovation department in Gateshead to help drive a transformative innovation portfolio.
As Innovation Data Scientist you will execute data science innovation within a range of projects. This will involve accelerating projects by agile project planning in sprint sequences, building proof-of-concept technical systems, project tracking and reporting. Important will be the ability to execute specific tasks, experiments, development and campaigns in a sprint manner. You will also identify external suppliers for services or collaborative partners as well as disseminate knowledge and learnings to colleagues to improve future performance.
Motivated by inventing, innovating, and solving problems in a design manner, you must have a Masters level qualification (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistical Science, or related technical-data field. An experienced user of technical data science software & packages, you will possess sound knowledge of data mining, ETL, EDA and data modelling. You will be excited by solving problems, learning new skills, tools & disciplines and have an ability to question the status quo in a constructive way. You will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A technical specialisation in a Data Science area would be an advantage.
