With strategic goals to become a more data-driven organization and focusing on Product-Led Growth, we are now looking for a Senior Data Engineer who will help us shape our data warehouse strategy, lead the data engineering team and build the data ecosystem that will serve as a one-stop shop for the needs of the entire organization.
Who you are
You are an experienced Data Engineer who knows the SaaS space well. You’re familiar with the data analytics needs of a modern technology company as well as how to realize them.
You have a structured approach to your team’s work, delivering iteratively while keeping the company’s strategic goals and the users’ needs in mind. You are an effective communicator that has experience leading a technical team, acting as the go-to person within your area of expertise and creating a culture of continuous improvement, curiosity and innovation.
What you'll do
- Together with the data engineering team, you will architect, implement and maintain data pipelines feeding data from various sources into our data warehouse
- Ensure the data warehouse is performant and scalable as needed with support from data engineers
- Collaborate with product developers and data scientists to deliver new data features and enable the discovery of insights
- Collaborate with data scientists to ensure our data warehouse always contains high-quality data
- Act as a technical and architectural lead for the data engineering team
Skills and requirements
- A proven background working in the data engineering field
- Experience with architectural choices, configurations, and tradeoffs related to the data ecosystem of a modern technology company
- Ability to think strategically while iteratively implementing solutions based on the immediate needs of an agile organization
- Experience designing data models that enable long-term stability, maintainability and scalability of a data warehouse
- Prior experience as a technical team lead, coaching and growing individuals is highly beneficial
