We’re looking for a Data Analyst to join Reuters in London! This role is working in our Reuters Professional business

About the Role

As our Data Analyst you will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing questionnaire design to ensure the outputs allow for optimized data visualisation

  • Checking interim and final datasets to ensure data is extracted as per design

  • Design, populate and test visually optimized dashboards that are intuitive and help the user to quickly see the most relevant patterns and easily investigate additional data insights. The dashboards should be consistent in design for similar question types to help the user quickly familiarize themselves with the new data, as opposed to learning a new format. The dashboards must have an expert facility which enables user to download the data in a user friendly way

  • Preparing datasets for dashboards, data tables and other analytical programs

  • Data analysis to look for patterns within questions, across questions and by sub-groups and across surveys and other data sources

  • Preparing charts and editorial commentary that help the reader to interpret and understand the data and broader implications. Critiquing charts and commentary of others on the team

  • Managing Junior Researchers – the data analyst will be involved in work-setting, supervision, coaching and motivation of Junior Researchers

  • Customer Engagement – From time-to-time, the Data analyst will be asked to join client sessions, providing guidance on how to interpret and utilize the data. They will also provide written guidelines & analysis on the various platform

To be our Data Analyst you will likely be:

  • A mid-level professional with in-depth knowledge and practical experience of primary market research, specifically data management, data analysis and dashboards

  • Competent in data analysis and business intelligent software, ideally Power BI, SPSS or equivalent

  • An effective communicator with a passion for data insights

  • An ability to explain complex data in easy-to-understand ways

  • An ability to manage workflow to comply with broader project timelines
