Position TitleAssistant Manager, Data Analyst
Reports ToLead, CAMO Analyst
Role PurposeThe Assistant Manager, Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, processing and performing statistical analyses on large datasets to generate actionable insights. This role involves data cleaning, visualisation and the creation of the detailed reports that support decision making across various functions within the Airline Engineering. The Data Analyst works closely with cross-functional teams to understand their needs, provide accurate and timely data solutions and contribute to the continuous improvement in operational performance.
Key Accountabilities - Execute & manage analytics projects assigned.
- Create and own reports on analytical / process improvement initiatives using meaningful visualizations and / or dashboard; generating and raising relevant business insights to leadership / stakeholders based on agreed cadence.
- Translate analytics into solutions / actionable recommendations for business improvements.
- Articulate findings to stakeholders & peers in operations teams to gain buy-ins, acceptance of findings
- Regularly review the effectiveness of solutioning while providing dynamic updates.
- Support implementation and execution of projects to ensure timeliness and quality of deliverables.
Qualification & Experience - Degree in Operations Analysis, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, MORSE (Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics and Economics) or related field; or
- 3 years working experience in data analysis or other relevant fields.
- Experience in continuing airworthiness management activities and aircraft maintenance
- Practical experience in developing dashboards and visual insights.
- Experience in market/business intelligence and research methodologies.
Skills & Knowledge - Programming skills (e.g., Hadoop MapReduce) and statistical modelling languages R, Python and DAX, SQL, and data visualization tools, e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik, or SAS VA.
- Problem solving, quantitative and analytical abilities.
- Project management skills.
- Understanding of and experience using analytical concepts and statistical techniques.
