Job Responsibilities

As a member of our business group, the Data Analyst Intern will:

  • Support the team’s performance by transforming the large amount of existing data into valuable information for decision making.
  • Support the development of business growth strategies in a safe, controlled and healthy way.
  • You will also assist in the treatment, cleaning, transformation and preparation of structured and unstructured data, presenting them in the form of interactive dashboards and management reports.
  • A successful candidate will have interest in business processes, strategies and will be able to quickly understand the specific business needs of Viasat. You will be an essential part of our team to further qualify our decision-making process.
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Statistics or related field.
  • At least 1 year before graduation
  • Critical thinking skills
  • Basic knowledge of any programming language (Python will be preferred)
  • Knowledge of basic data structures and databases
  • Dataviz Tools (PowerBl will be preferred)
  • Analytical and solution focused. Ability to think creatively and to leverage data to make key decisions
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Self-driven individual with ability to work independently
  • High tolerance for change
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and maintain attention to detail
  • Strong ability to work in teams and build good working relationships
  • High degree of personal integrity and work ethic
  • Advanced English, both written and verbal
  • This position will be part time; up to 6 hours per day / 30 hours per week. Our office is located in São Paulo.
