Reporting to the Brand Quality Manager of Small Crossover vehicles, the Data Scientist will support various technical functions including Brand Quality, Recall/Investigations and Warranty Administration. This outstanding cross-functional opportunity will provide the ability to learn about quality operations, product investigations, recalls, warranty and customer and dealer support! Additionally, the chosen candidate will have the opportunity to interact with various departments and executives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support data analysis on investigations into product conditions
  • Identify trends and emerging issues
  • Support the creation of tools to automate data collection
  • Active in support of the day to day business operations
  • Active in special projects as they arise

Additional Job Description

Required Qualifications
  • Enrolled in an Engineering, Math, Science, Computer Science, Computer and Software Engineering, or related degree program and in your 2nd/3rd year of study
  • Eligible to work full-time (40 hours per week) in Canada, and for 8 month term (2 consecutive semesters) starting January 2022
  • A highly developed analytical skill set is required in order to contribute in the investigations and business decisions using a data first approach
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products with a special focus on Excel and Access
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to collaborate across various departments
  • Strong willingness to self-learn and develop new skills
  • Able and willing to conduct work from home while COVID-19 protocols are in place
  • The successful candidate will be required to attest to, and be prepared to provide proof of, their vaccination status and that any job offer will be conditional on the candidate being fully vaccinated

Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic Vehicle Technical knowledge
  • Completed courses in statistics
