Data Analyst III

Job description

Provides actionable insights through data modeling and analysis to streamline decision-making, strategy creation, and tactical execution. Works directly with internal customers to understand the business environment and needs. Design, develop, and produce statistical and other analytic reports.

Applies analytical rigor and statistical methods to analyze large amounts of data, using advanced statistical techniques. Perform rigorous model evaluation, design hypothesis tests, oversee test execution and result evaluation.

Develop actionable analytics and communicate insights via visualizations and dashboards (infographics, dashboards, custom reports, and recurring reports.

Model, predict, and classify consumer behavior and business metrics.

Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets. Provide recommendations for growth, cost reduction and optimization of operational performance. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made.

Translate complex analysis into actionable intelligence and recommendations to executives.

Support targeted business activities, including opportunities for product and process improvement with a focus on driving significant business growth.

Perform and manage all the steps required for analyses including requirements gathering, methodology development, data pulling, data processing, analysis, insight formulation and results delivery.

Serves as the subject matter expert for strategic data analysis, identifies insights and implications as well as make strategic recommendations.

Provides direct or indirect leadership to team members through coaching, mentoring, and review of work.

Education/Licenses/ Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field, like Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Marketing Research, or other similar fields; or 6-8 years of additional relevant experience
4+ years hands on modeling experience with Python/R/SQL and experience building attribution models
Experience leveraging test & learn techniques to evaluate business opportunities
Experience extracting data from large/complex databases using SQL
Experience using PowerBI or other data BI/visualization tools

Ability to operate a computer/mobile device with relevant software applications.
