Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Data Scientist. In this role, you will:

• Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover meaningful trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions
• Develop and deploy predictive models and algorithms utilising machine learning techniques to optimise business processes
• Create data visualisations and interactive dashboards to effectively communicate key insights and findings to stakeholders
• Transform ambiguous business problems into well-defined questions and hypotheses, leveraging data-driven, multi-disciplinary problem-solving approaches
• Provide valuable technical expertise and data-driven insights to help shape business strategy
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders, to implement data-driven features and drive continuous improvements
• Conduct A/B testing and analyse experiment results to guide decision-making and optimise product performance
  
  

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
• At least 3 years of strong hands-on experience with complex and large-scale datasets using SQL, Python, and/or Spark
• Outstanding interpersonal communication skills
• Able to make analytical recommendations and provide business insights to senior management
• Familiarity with data science techniques, algorithms, and machine learning models
• Demonstrated experience in developing and deploying predictive models and algorithms to solve business problems and optimise decision-making processes
• Experience in e-Commerce or the internet industry is preferred
