What We Need

The Data Scientist is responsible for leveraging their quantitative skills and experience in building and working with forecasting and optimization models. They will use statistical, reinforcement learning and optimization techniques to help build and enhance products developed by our product teams. Leading a team of Data Scientists/Data Analysts this role will help set the roadmap for analysis and provide guidance to junior members of the team. The Data Scientist will be responsible for helping to shape the vision of the model that will be used to produce unit pricing for apartments within the multifamily industry.

What You Will Do
  • Help develop and lead the Radix Data Science Team
  • Partner with the business team to develop the roadmap for the Data Science team
  • Utilizing resources on the data team explore unique datasets that can be incorporated into the pricing algorithm based on correlation findings to enhance model outcomes
  • Provide guidance to junior members of the data team as they work through various datasets
  • Incorporate findings from analysis of various datasets into the overall model that will be used for generating pricing recommendations in the multifamily industry
  • Collaborate with the Data Science Lead Programmer (Python) to produce efficiency in code
Qualifications To Have
  • Advanced degree (Ph.D. or candidate preferred, or Master's degree plus relevant experience) in Machine Learning, Applied Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics, Operations Research or a related field with demonstrated academic excellence
  • Experience building or working with forecasting models ranging from machine learning to time series.
  • Experience and understanding of a wide variety of optimization models leveraging statistical, (deep) machine learning, reinforcement learning and optimization techniques mixed integer and non-linear programing as well as multinominal logit models (MIP, MILP, and MNL)
  • Hands on experience coding in R, Python, SQL, CPlex, Gurobi or similar database, statistical and optimization languages.
  • Track record of working with innovative product development
  • Success with leading a team of Data Scientist/Data Analysts
  • Excellent collaboration skills in working with cross functional teams that include both business and database infrastructure
  • Strong work experience interacting with other stakeholders within in organization
