About the role
Within our TWAICE Predictive Analytics Platform, we are building an incredibly powerful and versatile software backbone in the cloud. We’re using this platform to build solutions for our customers and enabling them to integrate our advanced battery models and predictive analytics into their own products. As we scale, we will be processing large amounts of data from varied sources such as our own battery lab, connect vehicles, and energy storage farms. This data will power our mattery models, machine learning engine, and predictive analytics.

Your daily business will involve

• Ingesting and transforming data for analytics and algorithmic processing in both batched and streaming fashion
• Working with complex, hierarchical time-series battery data
• Designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure and tools necessary for data processing and analysis on cloud platforms
• Working closely with battery engineers, data scientists, and software engineers to bring algorithms and analytics into production and to scale them up with stable and sustainable data pipelines
• Monitoring data pipeline performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise
• Contributing to a fast and efficient product (which is API/Web App based) development with continuous deployments, to steadily improve customer value
• Contributing to a highly motivated cross-functional team

Your profile

• You have a technical background with a degree in natural science or engineering and strong analytical skills to understand the requirements of battery analytics and the algorithms
• You are familiar with data modeling and data store/database design principles
• Experience in Python/SQL programming language, and its data processing frameworks (Pandas, Numpy, Apache Spark)
• You have 2+ years experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS and its Big Data services (S3, Glue, Athena, EMR, Lambda)
• You have experience with different processing paradigms such as Stream and Batch, as well as experience in data pipeline orchestration (Airflow, Prefect, AWS Step Functions or similar)
• You have a solid understanding of database modelling (normalisation vs denormalisation)
• You are competent in implementing and managing DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated deployment using tools such as Git, AWS CodeBuild, or GitLab
• You are a multi-talent and not afraid to get your hands dirty in multiple topics if the business or the team needs you
