to come make their mark by developing and managing data workflows, pipelines, ETL processes and load assurance reporting across QInsure’s Data Platform (QIDP).
In this dynamic role, you will work within the QInsure Data Squad to build data pipelines to enable effective data-driven decision making for the organisation.
The successful candidate/s will ideally have demonstrated experience in implementing data solution on the Azure stack and implementing DevOps practices, including cloud automation, supporting and maintaining Azure DevOps functions such as CI/CD, ARM and pipelines. Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Senior Data Engineer
will demonstrate some or most of the below:
Development experience, designing, developing and supporting various data technologies including, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, MS SQL Server, Azure Synapse and dbt
Ability to work with a range of diverse data sets including operational databases, CDC, CSV, XML, JSON etc.
Experience working in big data environments and big data file formats including Parquet, Avro etc.
Demonstrated experience working on Business Intelligence platforms with related design and development tools, including strong SQL knowledge
Strong experience building data marts using the Kimball methodology
Proven ability to effectively plan, prioritise and manage multiple and competing activities including leading or directing the work of other technical team members including BI Analysts, Developers and Testers directly or indirectly as required
Demonstrated experience in highly regulated industries or a good understanding of data warehouse, reporting and BI in the context of FSI and/or the life insurance industry is highly desirable
Knowledge of the full SDLC and Agile methodologies is desirable.
