Global Junior Data Scientist

The Global Measurement team is looking for a candidate for the position of Global Junior Data Scientist. His/her knowledge of online media combined with his/her analytical skills will shape the core of his/her responsibilities. In this role, you will be joining a team of highly motivated data professionals.

The Global Junior Data Scientist is responsible for helping the Global Product Manager of Measurement to develop measurement products including MMM, Attribution, Experiments and Full Funnel Measurement.

Part of the Havas Group, Havas Media is present in more than 140 countries and offers its clients the services of teams specialising in media, strategy, digital, data, programmatic buying, performance marketing, mobile, outdoor advertising, social networks, experiential marketing, entertainment and sports.

The Global Measurement team are expanding their Data team and are looking for a Global Junior Data Scientist who can support their efforts in data-driven decisions and business-process optimization across the organization.

S/He will work with the Global Data Manager, Global Data Analyst and pool of Data Analysts and Scientists in the implementation of Data algorithms and platforms across multiple markets.

S/He will support the Product team to align business requirements with functional and technical specification with architecture.

S/He provides data expertise and works closely with the Product Manager, R&D team and other HAVAS technical teams.

S/He contributes to the continuous improvement of working practices, application quality, tooling and agile processes.

Functional

Main responsibilities:

  • Provides the data product team with functional expertise applied to data and solutions around insights, media planning and activation.
  • Bring expertise to review and align business and data processes with formalization and communication.
  • Extract value from this alignment to identify tasks that could be automated and enhance the process to fluidify synergies between applications.
  • Collaboration with various stakeholders including internal Havas teams, markets, tech partners etc.
  • Ability to communicate complex projects in easy to understand presentations

Technical & Data Expertise

  • Provide the Data Product team and markets with data expertise in the use of data algorithms aces (and Python apps with front end, which is a nice to have)
  • Ability to automate data preparation and exploration before modelling in python.
  • Actively work with the Product and Measurement team to support the use and overlap of ID (3rd party data) and Non-ID (panel) text based database with algorithms built on Python.
  • Actively work with Product team and contribute to definition, specification, validation and implementation of user cases using client data e.g. prediction of intention to buy, segmentation etc.
  • Provides functional and technical specification with architecture for project tasks.
  • Collaborates with end-users (user interviews) and technical partners in specification of product features.

Education & Language

  • Master’s degree in Technology/Business.
  • Experience in measurement analytics could be a plus.
  • Good level of English (written & spoken).

Key Competencies

  • Knowledge of common data science toolkits, BigQuery/SQL, R or Python and PySpark.
  • Should ideally have knowledge with BI software: PowerBI, Tableau, Google Data Studio.
  • Text based NLP models.
  • Good interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
  • Proactive and ability to initiate.
  • Good analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Positive, persistent, and can-do attitude.
