About the role
As a Data Engineer/Director you’ll lead the design, build, testing and maintenance of user-centric solutions to ensure timely access to data. You’ll also build team capability through sharing your knowledge and supporting a culture of continuous improvement. You’ll drive and support opportunities that enable self-service and automation where possible.
Your duties
- Development of highly efficient code structures
- Create datasets from large data sources
- Manage and develop a specialist team
- Represent the ATO in internal and external events
- Influence and provide insights for staging and transforming data
- Build, manage and optimise data pipelines
- Support the development of application frameworks and system integration
Skills and experience
- Experience in one or more of the following: Java, web application development, graph platform knowledge and/or cloud based microservices
- High-level skills in complex data centric IT systems
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills
- Experience in developing strategies to identify and promote the benefits of data engineering capabilities in large organisations
