Role Purpose

Danone is on a journey to leverage data to improve its profitability and productivity. With recent investment in data, analytics and technology, Danone is focussed on deriving maximum value for the business, its people and to make better decisions quickly. The business has recently migrated its data and technology infrastructure to the cloud and is planning to continue to invest in building on its data capabilities.

Role Focus

The principal purpose of this role will be to provide performance reports and decision support to internal business teams by extracting and analysing data from different systems and sources. The support provided will enable the business to generate insights and form strategies that improve performance.

The role will create reports and analysis using tools visualisation tools like Power BI, Snowflake and Databricks. The individual should be able to use SQL and extract and then transform data into meaningful performance reports and analytical solutions to business questions.

The role will create, monitor and manage performance KPIs across various functions. We expect the individual to bring their expertise to drive change in the business and support the Head of Data & Analytics by developing proof of concept (PoC) projects using digital, commercial and financial data.

About you


Data & Analytics is a new function within Danone UK&I. This role is a greenfield opportunity for someone to bring their skills and experience to help the business teams in with their grow plans. There will be great opportunities to get involved in developing data-led digital, commercial and operational strategies.

Interacting proactively with business stakeholders, you will build analytical capability by creating dashboards, ad hoc analysis and proof of concept projects. You will be expected to work and influence global and functional commercial, operations, finance and master data teams.

Experience required:

  • Highly numerate and analytical
  • Business and results oriented
  • Experience in data mining tools e.g., SQL, Python
  • Experience with one or more BI tools - i.e., Power BI, Tableau, Looker
  • Experience of turning data into actionable insights that deliver business impact
  • Natural ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven experience in querying data Power BI, SQL to produce meaningful insights
  • Intermediate+ user of Microsoft Excel and other database tools
  • Stakeholder management in a matrix organisation
  • Critical thinking and reasoning skills
  • Deliver data analytics solutions to end users
  • Natural curiosity and positive energy to engage and collaborate with business partners
