Data Scientist

About the role:

We are looking for a number of Data Scientists to join our growing team, and work across a range of projects in the Personalisation squad. This role will require working closely with key stakeholders to understand business questions and collaborate with a cross-functional team (e.g. developers, data engineers, machine learning engineers, data analysts) to execute data science projects that deliver business solutions.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the end-to-end data science execution including scoping, building, testing, implementation, maintenance, tracking and optimisation of machine learning and deep learning models.
  • Responsible for complete and accurate documentation of all development.
  • Enhance the centralised customer and product feature library.
  • Deliver effective presentations of findings and recommendations to multiple levels of stakeholders, creating visual displays of quantitative information.


  • expertise in machine learning algorithms and demonstrable expertise in their mathematical fundamentals
  • experience in the full lifecycle of developing, deploying and maintaining machine learning models in the cloud, such as Databricks and GCP
  • experience writing high-quality Python code, preferably PySpark
  • expertise in data visualisation libraries and products (e.g. PowerBI, Dash, Shiny, Tableau)
  • expertise to DevOps environment (e.g Git)
  • Very detailed oriented is expected to ensure a high level of quality in report, data and model analysis
  • Proven skills in translating analytics output to actionable insights and recommendations.
  • coach cross-functional teams to understand where and when different models or analysis should be used and can create value.

Preferred experience but not essential

  • Consulting, retail or marketing background
  • Experience in personalisation
  • Experience with big data and cloud platform to deploy large-scale data science solutions.
  • Experience in time series analysis and forecasting
  • Experience in Databricks
