What you will do

Are you an expert in extracting data from ERP, CRM and other systems? Join us as Business Data Engineer, a business-facing IT professional accountable for supporting Business Units in the EMEA&LA region.

This position crafts data infrastructure and data processing to extract and organize data that enables business operations. The role helps to resolve information technology challenges and problems by analysing business processes & data requirements, assembling large sets of data, recommending protocols to achieve best practice solutions, and supporting the implementations and rollouts.

How you will do it

  • Liaise with Business & IT counterparts to understand the needs of technologies and future state processes

  • Become a part of a team engaged from initial planning technical & process design sessions to solution implementation, testing, deployment, production, and maintenance

  • Assemble large, sophisticated sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirements

  • Provide mentorship & influence delivery of business processes & solutions across our IT ecosystem with a specific focus on optimizing data within our Field and Back-office business

  • Provide data expertise to support requirements gathering and determine solutions & architecture for efficient extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various data sources

  • Participate as a project team member with other data science professionals to develop reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions for data systems, models, or components

  • Review the proposal of vendors and suppliers to ensure data quality inputs, leading practices, and efficient System & Process design throughout all project phases

  • Review and validate test strategy and plan, test cases, automation, regression, and test execution

  • Identify and mitigate existing business data risks and support data governance and quality principles, methodologies, and objectives



What we look for

Required

  • Deep understanding of Business models, processes & systems, and how data can provide insights and help the organization be more effective

  • Experienced, customer-focused Data Engineer assisting in building and providing the capability to deliver business performance through data, including re-designing data for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes

  • Proficient in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment requiring good communication and teamwork skills and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities

  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time



Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related fields

  • Experience in ETL, Data Lake, and data warehouse pipelines

  • Basic knowledge of AI and data science

  • Analytical skills associated with working on structured and unstructured data, its management, and modern data transformation methodologies

  • Overview in building and optimizing data sets, 'big data pipelines, and architectures

  • Knowledge of root cause analysis on external and internal processes and data find opportunities for improvement and answering inquiries

  • Ability to craft processes that support data transformation, workload management, data structures, dependency, and metadata

  • Effectively and creatively tell stories and make visualizations to communicate data insights

  • Experience with system integrations and understanding of how to fix data discrepancies

  • Ability to manage multiple regional initiatives optimally
