About The Role
As a Data Analyst in Australia Retail, you’ll play a key member of our Business Solution teams applying strong data technical skills to interrogate data to support engagement, operation and on-going improvement of remediation business solutions / tools used by upstream squads in the remediation of impacted customers.

What will your day look like?
As a Data Analyst, you will:
- Leveraging training / knowledge of ANZ remediation business processes and solutions to support individual client squad engagement and use of remediation business solutions.
- Leveraging strong data technical skills (primarily SQL, Python and/or PySpark) to code complex scripts to support business solution engagement including triage, analysis and troubleshooting of technical incidents raised by client squads relating to remediation Business Solutions.
- Defining, documenting, executing and reviewing testing to confirm expected outcomes from remediation Business Solutions.
- Peer reviewing other Data Analyst’s scripts and testing to confirm expected outcomes.
- Ensuring compliance with ANZ’s policies, standards and data requirements.

The ‘must have’ knowledge, skill and experience (KSE) the role requires are:
- Strong ability to query, process and analyse large data sets in Hadoop/Big Data technologies using SQL, Python and/or PySpark.
- Strong ability to test and document data solutions in accordance with business requirements and solution design.
- Strong ability to understand and learn more of ANZ remediation business solutions and the standard SDLC processes engaged in development of these solutions.
- Analytical and inquisitive mindset to continuously improve on data insights supporting practical business recommendations relating to business solution function.
- Ability to effectively communicate and present to all stakeholders (technical and non-technical).
- ANZ product, process and data domain knowledge (e.g., including but not limited to loans, cards, deposits).
- Ability to perform statistical analysis.
- Coaching & mentoring skills.
- Data visualisation skills.
