What will you do?

You will be working in the Data Science and Engineering Team, using primarily the Google Cloud environment (BigQuery, AI Platform, Data Studio), but also 3rd party technology such as Elastic Search and Airflow.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Analysing custom analytics data, paywall data, Google Analytics data and other sources, to provide insights to business.
• Design, implement, test and continually improve predictive models to provide automated business insights, or processes.
• Collaborating with stakeholders on new or existing business problems that needs solving, designing and implementing or conducting analyses, and providing the results to stakeholders.
• Analysis of user behaviour to provide insights on how to improve User Experience.
• Analysis of platform performance and automated reporting on key metrics.
• Producing automated reports and dashboards to facilitate business decisions.

What should you have?

• Tertiary qualification in Data Science, a mathematical science or engineering preferred.
• 3+ years development experience working with Python.
• Big data experience.
• Cloud experience (Google cloud platform preferred).
• Experience with source control (Git).
• Experience with open-source machine learning software e.g.:

• Jupyter Notebooks
• scikit-learn
• pytorch
• lightgbm
• tensorflow
• pandas

• Experience with industry standard machine learning methods e.g.:

• Linear and logistic regression
• Recommender Models (collaborative filtering, content-based and hybrid models)
• Random Forests and other decision tree-based methods.
• Gradient Boosting Methods
• Clustering Algorithms
• Natural Language Methods (bag-of-word, word2vec, doc2vec, transformer models)

• Experience with statistical analysis.
• A willingness to learn new methods, platforms and tools that best suits a task.
