The Industrial function’s role is to help the Solvay Group in safety initiatives and support the group's transformation in operational excellence.

Job Overview and Responsibilities

The Project “Global Chemical Management” has the ambition to centralize all data and documents in one database SAP EHS and make it possible to provide the most current and precise information to the Solvay sites.
This project is managed by two teams of the Solvay HSE department: Industrial Hygiene and Hazard Communication teams.

We are looking to reinforce temporarily the HSE team, responsible for the management of Raw Materials & Purchased Chemicals (RM&PC) for core activity, in this internship you will be part of the project and have the opportunity to learn how to:

  • Collect and introduction of documents in SAP
  • Data entry in SAP including creation of Real Sub E
  • Contact the sites HSE managers responsible for maintaining the list of products and documentation at site level
  • Compliance Check of RM&PC simple via the Safety Data Sheet

You will work in close collaboration with HSE and SDS experts in order to ensure and improve the management of the Supplier SDSs. You will also receive training in SAP.

Education and Experience

  • MSc or BSc in Chemicals or Pharmaceuticals
  • No previous experience needed
  • Experience with SDS authoring and / or use is a plus
