Principal Data Scientist

This is a Principal Data Scientist position to work on the ADP DataCloud platform, which currently serves more than 50,000 ADP clients and is growing globally.

ADP DataCloud is a powerful solution that encompasses Reporting, Analytics and Benchmarks. It's part of our mission to help ADP build intelligence into their systems by exploring their data. ADP Reporting is a centralized reporting tool that serves dozens of ADP products. It's a powerful product that enables our clients to run millions of reports every month, being reliable, scalable and fully integrated within ADP HCM offers. ADP Analytics provide our clients with key information and insights about their organizations, while ADP Benchmarks allow companies to see how they measure up against the market using anonymized aggregated data.

DataCloud is key to ADP's strategy as it derives value from our most valuable asset: ADP's data, one of the most rich and unique datasets in the world.

We are a geo-distributed (US, India, Brazil) Agile team which intensively collaborates to build robust and user-centric solutions.

  • Design and implement the start-of-art machine learning algorithms and systems to optimize the HCM system user experience
  • Lead cross-functional teams to frame machine learning problems and develop end-to-end solutions
  • Collaborate with product, design and engineering teams to plan, design, develop and deploy high impact machine learning systems supporting multiple products across ADP
  • Champion and define best practices to produce highly adaptive, high performing, continuous learning AI models/systems
  • Experience architecting and delivering high performing high impact production systems
  • Excellent skills in combining science and engineering approaches and strong ability to keep up with the new development in AI domain
  • Mentor junior colleagues technically and professionally

Education & Experience Requirements:

Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems or a related field plus two (5) years of related experience. Employer will accept a bachelor's degree plus five (10+) years of experience in lieu of a master's degree plus two (5) years of experience.

Experience must include:

  • Distributed Computing Environment (Hadoop/Spark/Hive/MapReduce)
  • Python/Java/Scala/PyTorch
  • Large volume data application design and validation principles
  • Data structures, algorithms, and design patterns in distributed computing environment
  • R/H2O model creation, validation, and integration
  • AWS Cloud Computing (AWS SageMaker/EMR/Personalize)
  • Implementation of machine learning algorithms on large volume data in distributed computing environments
  • Integration of machine learning models into production environments
