If so, we have the perfect opportunity for a 12-month student placement as a Global Customer Data Analyst!
This role is an exciting opportunity positioned within the Customer Insight & Analytics team at Sage, located at our Newcastle office. You will work alongside Sage professionals, gaining experience not only analytically but also commercially. As part of this role, you will work with our teams across numerous countries that Sage operates within such as USA, Canada, France, Spain, Germany, South Africa, and Australia.
We require a candidate that will be comfortable manipulating data and communicating to the business.
We are looking for a student with a keen eye for detail, with added emphasis on ensuring accuracy, validation and consistency when working with data and applying Sage’s business definitions. You will be expected to combine data from a variety of sources including 1st party systems (i.e. CRM), telemetry and 3rd party sources.
Your role will play an important part in transforming how data is used to influence decisions and impact business performance, using advanced data segmentation and statistical methods to support global business objectives. You will learn and develop an understanding of the value of different datasets for segmentation and how to tailor the communication of analysis within a global organisation to achieve the maximum business effect. A core area of focus will be on Customer Success – the acquisition of new customers and the retention and growth of existing customers to help support and drive Sage’s business growth.
The successful applicant must be able to communicate effectively, concisely and be comfortable challenging business processes.
Key ResponsibilitiesCommunicating complex analysis clearly and simply and presenting it in a way that tells a story from business problem to recommendation.
Proactively working with stakeholders and challenging their understanding of the business problem.
Learning and applying a project management approach to the analytics process, arranging meetings, documenting actions, assigning owners and deadlines accordingly to drive delivery.
Organising and analysing data from multiple sources and different levels such as customers, product registrations, financials, and 3rd party information.
Working as a central analyst professional across and within teams and countries, promoting best practice to all levels of the organisation as required, supporting Marketing’s and Sage’s goals.
Developing new data approaches (such as propensity & machine learning models and using other advanced analytics methods) to develop methods that enable more targeted data segmentation with better funnel performance.
Operationalising any developed models or analysis to ensure appropriate performance is met and outputs are adopted within each country.
Working with IT functions to provide innovative solutions for integrating analytics with existing IT infrastructure.
Assessing and evaluating the most effective, efficient, and timely segmentation tactic to apply to meet requirements, ensuring they understand the options and implications of decisions made.
Present actionable insights and recommendations to Marketing & Sales leaders across business to improve performance.
To work with Sage’s technologies such as ABM platforms, Salesforce CRM and other databases to manipulate data and analyse.
Work with the Data Strategy Manager to improve the quality and reliability of the data
