The organisation is an Irish owned & managed group of companies with headquarters in Dublin and Belfast. The Group is made up on 15 companies spread across the island of Ireland and Great Britain who design, manufacture and wholesale distribute a wide range of quality approved products / brands to a long-established network of retail & trade merchant customers in Ireland, the U.K. and other export markets.


The Role


Due to the continued expansion of the Group and growth within each business, we are now looking to recruit a business analyst, who will be responsible firstly to standardize, systematise, and maintain data sets for the Group as well as the development of data analytics within our business that will feed directly into our business strategy and roadmap. This information will be key to developing our future business strategy given the planned level of grow over the coming years. The role will be based in Dublin. Regular travel may be required to other Group company premises throughout Ireland.


Key Responsibilities


  • Interact extensively with each Group company and key internal stakeholders to understand their operations & systems
  • Work closely with vendor stakeholders to optimise the use of internal systems to meet business objectives
  • Elicit, understand and establish the requirements of the stakeholders & of each of the businesses
  • Support solution build and testing activities
  • Support and deliver training where necessary to company team members
  • Support overall project and general change management delivery
  • Fulfil, standardize, and systematise data sets throughout all companies within the Group.
  • Take ownership of the integrity, consistency, and relevance of data sets [updated, missing data, mistakes, duplicates]
  • Participate in developing Group standards for the data sets
  • Track data sets changes and communicate with all teammates who have permission to Add/change data.
  • Working with colleagues to establish the requirements of the business.


The Ideal Candidate Will Have / Be


  • BS/BA or similar in Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of relevant business experience.
  • Detailed knowledge of data analysis tools.
  • Played an active part in or a lead role in business analysis on software implementation projects.
  • Experienced in process modelling skills i.e. {UML, BPMN}
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with all team members & stakeholders
  • Team player
  • Experienced in using business intelligence (Power BI) on BI reporting project.
  • Familiar with the project management approach, and project lifecycle
  • Overall knowledge of IT Infrastructure and Cloud technologies
  • Experience with ERP (Intact IQ an advantage), WMS, CRM, TMS business systems is beneficial
  • Experience with Logistics practices is beneficial
  • Ability to interpret data and present it in a comprehensive manner
  • Experience in integrating newly acquired businesses into standardised data set.
  • Proven ability to identify trends and patterns in the information. i.e., Product Life Cycle, and presenting same to stakeholders.
  • Excellent presentation skills allowing for information to be clearly presented to management team & stakeholders throughout the business.
  • Ability to produce and track key performance metrics across the business
  • Ability to create data graphs, dashboards, and visualisations that will contribute to business strategy and roadmap.
  • Full clean driving licence


Excellent salary on offer which ranges from €55,000 - €65,000 depending on experience.
