As 6G Network and Data Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Nokia Standards Architecture, Security and Automation team, applying the latest advances in data science and artificial intelligence engineering to achieve 6G network autonomous operation. You will join a high-performance global team committed to driving continuous improvement and world-class innovation in networking research.
Your mission will focus on conceiving and building next-generation concepts and tools enabling cutting-edge network research. You will be instrumental in creating a strong link between concepts and implementations, disseminating best practices and data-driven research as core discipline across the organization.

- Shape the future of communication networks by demonstrating innovative solutions enabled by digital twin technologies
- Architect and develop next-generation data and simulation platforms and solve complex network automation use cases
- Apply and expand your knowledge by identifying and developing new approaches for network digital twins, network sensing, AI/ML for networks
- Contribute to future networks and 6G in world leading standardization and open-source organizations like IETF, ETSI, 3GPP, Linux Foundation Networking, etc.
Key Skills And Experience
Your skills and experience
You have:
- A master’s degree (or higher) in computer science, artificial intelligence, telecommunications, or a related field
- Three or more years of experience in engineering or applied research with focus on mobile network architecture and automation in industry or academia
- Advanced skills in modular software design and programming
- Knowledge, know-how in synthetic data generation techniques
- Knowledge, know-how in data quality frameworks and data quality assessment
- Knowledge of network telemetry techniques and data collection protocols, observability frameworks and tools
- Hands-on experience with designing modeling, simulation or data handling platforms
- Strong understanding of data and system modeling, database design, knowledge graphs, and data integration techniques
- Proficiency in evaluating concepts and solutions by means of simulations or analytical methods
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Python, Java, C++…)
- Very good understanding of networking technologies and preferably specialist in a sub-field of networking (wireless networks, IP networks…)
It would be nice if you also had:
- Knowledge of standards specifications and practices from different standardization bodies
- You are autonomous, proactive, and collaborative.
- You like to solve complex problems with elegant solutions using your ingenuity and teamwork.
