We are seeking a Data Analyst, Fraud & Risk to join our Risk team. You will play an integral role in fraud and risk mitigation using skills including the ability to recognize non-obvious patterns, analyze diverse data sets and work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to recommend solutions in an ambiguous environment.


Due to COVID-19, the position is remote until further notice.


What will you do?


  • Analyze data to identify fraud trends and proactively take action to improve efficiency and reduce time to identify new fraud techniques, tactics and procedures. Leverage diverse data sources
  • Analyze fraud data to determine patterns on sophisticated fraud activity
  • Deploy countermeasures by writing and deploying SQL fraud rules and analyze the impact
  • Monitoring evolving fraud clusters and propose new rule criteria using SQL
  • Analyze rule performance trends
  • Data visualization through tableau, Python, etc.
  • Assist Data Scientist in the creation of fraud artificial intelligence models
  • Work with data in the AWS infrastructure leveraging new cloud technologies for report and model creation
  • Ability to perform deep dives and write summaries of complex and sensitive escalations to Legal and Fraud Leadership
  • Work with internal teams to come up with action plans to address corrective and preventative measures to mitigate risk
  • Work with cross-functional teams across Paramount Commerce to collaborate on fraud risks and investigations
  • Communicate analytical insights to key fraud stakeholders through Dashboards, KPIs, etc.



You will have/be:


  • Bachelor's Degree relevant field (Mathematics, Business, Computer Science)
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in data analysis, Investigation deep dives
  • 1+ year of experience in Risk, Fraud, AML or Compliance
  • Experience developing in one or more programming languages (SQL, Python, R, etc.)
  • Familiar with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
  • Effective spoken and written communication skills, including strong data presentation and visualization skills
  • Detail-oriented, with an aptitude for solving unstructured problems
  • Ability to work in fast-paced dynamic environments where decisions are made without compromising on customer experience and financial losses
  • Able to work with minimal supervision, will engage the right stakeholders at the right times
  • Excellent team player capable of learning and sharing knowledge in a global team environment
  • Excellent organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines
